More rant than usual, but not dangerously so

  • Mar. 11th, 2009 at 11:16 PM
- Wow, it's been a long time since I posted!

- The first few weeks of Uni have been enjoyable and informative and relatively stress-free. Far less stressful than Year 13. I imagine things will get harder eventually but I'm pretty happy not thinking about that now.

- Today wasn't great. I went to Spotlight to buy some fabric glue and the glue was $6 which is a rip-off. And I didn't end up buying the glue, because my wallet was no longer in my bag. So I looked all around the shop to no avail, and really really hoped that I'd left it on the bus. And that noone had taken the $100+ that was in there. But I was really really lucky, and picked my wallet up from the bus depot in time for my 1pm lecture. During the lecture I realised why I had left my wallet on the bus in the first place. Because of the stupid bloody weather. While I was on the bus I was trying to pin my hat onto my head so it wouldn't blow away when I went outside, thus I forgot to put my wallet back in my bag. Grr.
Oh, and another annoying thing: Studylink. I still have no money. The $100 in my wallet I had borrowed from my parents to get my Japanese textbook, because Studylink still haven't sorted out my loan.
Okay, that's enough ranting for today.

- Armageddon Expo in two and a half weeks! Yay/Omg/Crapcrapcrap! My sister and I are dangerously behind schedule with our preparations, even more so than last year. But there haven't been any sewing machine disasters yet, which is a good sign. Although perhaps that's because we have hardly started sewing yet. Oh well, weekend soon. We'll surely make some progress then. (stocks up on caffeinated products)

So, first day of Uni. Omg.

I only had two lectures today (MATH108 and JAPA141) so it wasn't very stressful. Yet.

Apparently, the fact that I failed Integration last year means that I am statistically destined to fail MATH108. Hm. It looks like I'm gonna have to work hard or risk wasting my time/money. But I had no trouble with anything in the lecture today, so that's a good start I guess.
There is a skills test next week, which is kinda lame. But at least it isn't this week.

Japanese was good. It was all stuff that I already knew, which is somewhat surprising as I've never studied Japanese before. I guess that's a good sign.

Looking forward to COSC121 tomorrow.
And a little worried about MATH115, but at the same time somewhat intrigued.

Oh, it's just a Zelda rant. Never mind.

OMGOMGOMG

TODAY I FINALLY FINISHED MAJORA'S MASK!

Okay, so that was possibly the BEST Zelda game I have ever played. Possibly. I'll have to finish it again before I know whether or not it's better than Ocarina of Time.

It was the hardest Zelda game I have ever played.
And the saddest.
And definitely the weirdest.
And probably the scariest. Not like scary-monster scary though, a different sort of scary. As in "Everyone around you is going to die in three days. They don't know it, but you do. And you can't even warn them because you're a silent protagonist. It's not like warning them would make a difference. Anyway, you have no friends, so why do you care about what happens to these people?"

Time for some lists! (I'll try to keep it free of any major spoilers)

GOOD THINGS:
- Princess Zelda kept herself out of trouble for the whole game. In fact, she kept herself out of the game altogether. So did Ganondorf. Wow.
- The Happy Mask Salesman. Probably the best Zelda character ever invented.
- Link plays guitar in a jazz-blues band.
- The extremely terrifying Great Fairy now comes in five different colours. Eventually she gives you a huge rainbow sword with roses etched on it.
- Link helps a postman overcome his obsessive-compulsive disorder.
- Pirates who are more scared of wasps than they are of Link.
- Link becomes a dance teacher and starts a craze even more popular than the Macarena.
- People somehow manage to get drunk on milk.
- A mask which is pretty much a bomb that you wear on your face. Lol, dangerous.
- ALIEN INVASION. (The aliens are trying to kidnap some cows)

BAD THINGS:
- There was no sumo wrestling or snowboarding this time.
- If you manage to get the Fierce Deity mask then the final boss is easy. I don't mean slightly too easy. I mean ridiculously easy. The entire battle took me about 45 seconds in total. Oh dear.
- There's a service charge if you go to the bank at 4am.

Oh, and the ending was weird. So so weird. But so awesome.

- Happy Valentines Day everyone! Mine was enjoyable - not in a Valentine-related way, but I got lots of sewing done and started playing Half-Life again and watched Little Miss Sunshine for what must be the fifth time (and it's still great!)

- I've almost finished the uni enrollment process. I just have to wait for my loan application to get verified and then I'm in! So this is what I'll be up to this year:
- COSC121
- COSC122
- MATH108
- MATH109
- MATH115
- JAPA141
- JAPA142
Ohhh, university is expensive. But at least my parents haven't kicked me out yet. And at least I'm not doing something incredibly incredibly expensive like Dentistry.
And Japanese is going to be interesting. I'm still not entirely sure why I'm studying Japanese when I'm fluent in Spanish. But at the same time, it makes sense for me to study something that I'm not (yet) fluent in.

- My latest discovery is Peanut Butter Sandwich With Sultanas In It. It looks pretty bad (most things containing peanut butter look bad) but it tastes good.

I'm back!

  • Jan. 29th, 2009 at 7:40 PM
My holiday in Australia was very very enjoyable. But first I am going to list the bad things:

- There were about 4 days of horrible 35 degrees Celsius weather. Followed by an extremely horrible day of 41 degrees Celsius weather. Very horrible indeed. Like when you open a hot oven and all the heat comes whooshing out, except it was like that THE WHOLE DAY.
- Mosquitoes. Grr.
- I missed playing Super Smash Bros.
- I missed the Internet.
- I missed my computer.
- My parents forced me to carry duty-free alcohol around the airport on their behalf. Cointreau is heavy.

But there were lots of good things too:
- Six-storey shopping malls.
- Star Wars exhibition at the museum.
- Chinatown.
- I only got sunburnt once, and it wasn't too bad.
- The Opera House is actually really really awesome. The original budget was seven million and they spent 100 million. Hahaha, epic fail. But worth it.
- My sister and I rofl'd loudly at the giant statue of Link in EB Games, and the staff gave us weird looks.
- Monet exhibition at the Art Gallery.
- Manly beach. The beach itself was fairly standard, but there were little girls wearing togs with "Manly" printed on them in big letters and it was very hilarious.
- Lots of markets.

That's all I can think of right now, but there will probably be more later. And perhaps photos.

Oh, and new Franz Ferdinand album! Finally! After three and a half years! I was worried that I might be disappointed with it, but I wasn't. It wasn't as good as the first album, but I didn't expect it to be. And it was better than the second album.
There's lots of synthesizer. One song has three minutes of just synthesizers and drums. Wow.

I'm impressed

  • Jan. 15th, 2009 at 12:57 PM
- So I got Uni entrance. I really really didn't think I would. But I did. Omg.

- And I only failed one of my Calc papers (Integration of course - the nasty one.) So I'm not happy that I failed it, but I'm very happy I only failed one.

- I even got Merit for my Design folio, which is amazing. Clearly the procrastination worked in my favour. (Seriously, I reworked pretty much my entire folio in the last two weeks before the deadline. And everything went so awesomely. It was the most fun I've ever had in Design class.)

- I'm off to Australia on Saturday morning. It's unlikely I'll have computer access while I'm there, but I'll post when I get back. Yay!
- So yeah, it looks like I finally started feeling guilty about not posting for about a month. Just so you know, if there's ever a very long hiatus in the future, it isn't because I'm dead or angry at everyone or anything like that. I'm just slack, and prone to not finishing what I start.

- As an extremely pleasant and very surprising 18th birthday present, my lovely parents have agreed to help me fund my new computer. Still in the decision making process in regards to what sort of components I'm looking for, but everything is certainly looking very exciting. Perhaps I'll finally be able to play games less than 5 years old.

- First Year Of Uni is almost upon me (assuming I get Uni entrance, of course) and it's getting to the point where I have to start making decisions. Still not entirely sure about what maths courses I want to do, and deciding between Beginners' Japanese and Hardcore 200-level Spanish is proving to be a very difficult choice indeed. Things will hopefully start getting resolved soon though.

- This time next week I'll be in Sydney eating unusual Australian varieties of icecream (like hokey pokey honeycomb) because it will be some utterly ridiculous Australia temperature, in which icecream is necessary for survival. But it should be fun anyway, I might even try to enjoy the Spending Time As A Family. It'll potentially be one of my last holidays that my parents are willing to fund, so I plan to enjoy it as much as possible. They initially complained about having to pay the full adult price for my flight and accommodation, but then they realised that now that I'm 18 I'm allowed to help them with transporting duty-free alcohol. I guess that's a fair deal.

- I'm feeling a little emotionally exhausted as a result of extreme bedroom reorganisation. The kind that hasn't happened since 2004 because it takes at least 5 days to do properly. I'm about 2.5 days into it so far. Wish me luck.

- Exams are finally over, thus extreme extreme paranoia. I won't have trouble getting 60 credits to pass Level 3 NCEA. Amazingly, the difficult part could be getting 42 credits for Uni entrance. That doesn't sound like it makes any sense whatsoever, but unfortunately it does, because the stupid system is stupid. Grrr.

- The Tales of Beedle the Bard was great! With pleasant illustrations! Yaaay!

- The Leavers' Dinner last Sunday was very enjoyable, even for the people who were too young/responsible/designated-driver to participate in the Midori+Lemonade silliness. It was at Santorini's and all was hilarious and memorable. I never thought I would find myself in a situation where dancing on a table qualifies as acceptable and normal behaviour (even by Judith's standards - I never thought I would EVER live to see that.)

- I miss the CHS library. And school in general. Except for the schoolwork, of course. It's nice to be free of that particular burden.

- Holidays = Spare Time = Video Games, yay! My latest acquisition is Final Fantasy VIII - Emo with a scar on his forehead fighting evil. And he goes to a boarding school where people learn to use magic. And he gets hassled by the arrogant blonde kid. And he's an orphan. Does it sound familiar? Well, it shouldn't. Amazingly, it's completely completely different to Harry Potter. I wouldn't even consider it to be the same genre, to be honest.

- Hmm. Perhaps I need to stop playing Final Fantasy games, otherwise I might turn into one of those people who plays Final Fantasy all the time and never plays other RPGs and when people ask them what their favourite games are they say "Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, and XII!" Now that would be kinda embarrassing.

Bangerang!

- Well, I think I might have passed all of my Calculus papers. But it's hard to tell. I guess I'll have to just wait and see. As for Scholarship Calc, well, perhaps it would have been more productive for me to stay at home and study instead. Oh well. It was an interesting experience nonetheless. And I got a free formula sheet!

- Media Studies went okay, I think. Ohh, I hate writing essays.

- No more exams till December! And then only Spanish and Scholarship Spanish, both of which I'm not too worried about! Yay, freedom!

- For those of you who completely forgot, Friday was the tenth anniversary of Ocarina of Time! And it still continues to be the most critically-acclaimed game ever made! And Rosa still has not finished it! Time for some happy childhood memories:
  • Roly-polying for miles and miles
  • Getting violated strangled by those zombies
  • Becoming a Happy Mask Salesman apprentice
  • Sniping Ganondorf's pirate-ninja harem girls
  • Getting killed by a million angry chickens
  • Bombchu Bowling
  • Laughing at the emo in Kakariko Village
  • WINDMILL!
Ahh, those were the days. Except, of course, those still are the days. Yaaay!

- My sister's 14th birthday sleepover this weekend was thoroughly enjoyable. It was pirate-themed thus everyone went on a treasure hunt and watched Hook and got killed by a ninja. I was pleasantly surprised by how much sleep I managed to get, they managed to avoid the Very Loud 4am Argument this time, which was nice. It's great having a younger sister who is mature and sensible when necessary.

* Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions if you want to.
* Don't dig for your favourite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

"If z + 1/z = k, with k real, prove algebraically that if y = 0 then |k| >= 2."

The fact that I have very little idea where to start with that problem means I should probably stop hanging around on LJ and get back to studying. Bye.

Semi-Freedom

  • Nov. 11th, 2008 at 11:01 PM
- I finished my design folio. It was hard work, I was in the design lab all of yesterday, all weekend and most of last week. But it got done on time and I even had time to finish my scholarship workbook, and I only needed one bottle of V. I even had a couple of hours left over to help other people. And of course, the best part is that I'm very happy with my work and can't think of any ways that I want to improve it. And Ms Jensen was happy too. Now that all that's out of the way, I can finally get on to things like hoping attempting to pass Calculus.

- Yesterday was the library prefects' farewell-thankyou pizza lunch. It was happy and enjoyable and Annie brought sesame seed mousse which looked like wet grey sand and tasted delicious. Apparently we're the best library gang ever. Ohh, I'm gonna miss the library a lot.

- Only 1 non-exam day left of high school EVER. Graduation is on Thursday evening. Karen and Heidi are both gonna be wearing dresses. Wow.

- Holidays soon. Apparently we're going to Australia in mid-late January, so that'll be nice, except for the hot weather. And I also plan to make a start on some ridiculously-epic costume, but that is still very much in the planning stages ie. no ideas whatsoever. And hopefully I'll find work for the holidays and start contributing to my Awesome Non-Obsolete Computer fund.

- The Halloween party was enjoyable, of course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ngp4pV_XhMQ
Unfortunately the video does not feature Pyro's notorious deep-voice spoken word karaoke.

- Heroes is back on tomorrow! That'll be nice, TV has been pretty crap for the last 5 weeks or so. I can hardly remember what happened in the last season, so I'll have to ask Wiki I guess.

- Omgomgomg. Almost finished Final Fantasy X ie. on the way to the Final Boss right now as I'm typing this. I should really be studying instead of playing video games. But then again, FFX counts as studying because you have to use algebra to figure out how many people you can revive with 12MP (the answer is 0, by the way.)
Well, I'm off to save the world with maths revision. Goodnight.

BOO!

  • Oct. 27th, 2008 at 10:10 PM
- So it looks like my blog has been dead for the last month. Time to resurrect it! *begins drawing a complicated transmutation circle*

- Halloween is less than a week away. Yaaay! I think I might dress up as Aeris the Slightly Gory Zombie.

- On a more negative note, my favourite forum was dead all weekend because everyone was at the Auckland Armageddon Expo dancing and having fun without me. On a more positive note, I successfully avoided the chance to spend far too much money on action figures and comic books. Which is good, because it is getting closer and closer to Xmas. My sister's birthday is coming up too.

- Two weeks to finish my extremely-unfinished Design folio. And then it'll be time to study. My exams are in the most inconvenient order, with Scholarship Calculus being right at the start of my study leave, and then the rest of my difficult exams within the next three days. And then about a two-week gap before Spanish. Well, at least this way I'll get the nasty stuff over and done with. But expect this to be one of the last blog posts for a while, not because I'm too lazy to write anything, but because I'm actually being studious for once.

- I'm not really looking forward to leaving school. So many years of waiting impatiently for the day when I can escape the tyranny of NCEA once and for all, but now that things are coming to a close I'm beginning to understand what old people mean when they say that these days are the best days of our lives. Although I imagine not everyone I know will have the same outlook on their high school days, so perhaps I'm just wearing my Rose-Tinted Reminiscing Goggles. Yay, rose-tintedness! I'm especially gonna miss the library and the Library Prefect Gang. Annie drew an awesome picture of us all looking intelligent and beautiful, so I'll scan that in and post it when I have the chance.

- The new Kaiser Chiefs album is good. And the most recent Mystery Jets album is also good.

- Ohhh, minesweeper. I really shouldn't have started on that habit again. And now my sister's addicted too. At least I'm still better at it than her (191 seconds, Expert level - Yusss!) And I love Microsoft Pinball as well. And Spider Solitaire. I guess this is a sign that I need to buy/obtain some new games. After exams, that is.

- http://www.instructables.com/id/5_minute_Chocolate_Cake/ I made this earlier on today. It was pretty good considering it only took twice as long as noodles. I love microwave-cooking, it's so... futuristic.

I don't update my blog often enough!

  • Sep. 22nd, 2008 at 9:06 PM
-Practice exams last week were... Not good. But it's okay, because now I know exactly what I shouldn't do in the exam. Such as writing a genre essay that is actually just a history/english essay and doesn't mention genre at all. Or avoiding using the Second Derivative Test because "I can just do it on my graphics calculator instead." Oops.

-Oh well. The last few weekends have been good. That makes up for it.

- Rosa's party inspired me to start playing Monkey Island, which is my new favourite 2D point'n'click adventure game. It's nice to see that rubber chickens with a pulley in the middle really aren't just a waste of space.

- This weekend's Cosplay Club meeting was enjoyable as usual, despite the fact that my sister couldn't make it.
Scaring away museum patrons
Scaring away YMCA patrons
Scaring away drinking fountain patrons
Scaring away park bench patrons

- I've got a temporary job, which is nice. I get to put stuff in envelopes and then later on take stuff out of envelopes and type it up into a spreadsheet. When I did the same job in 2005 I got about $500, so hopefully after I've finished it this time round I'll be able to pay off my Chile Trip debt!!! And then I can finally concentrate on saving up for a computer that can run Photoshop without using all the free space on my hard disk as virtual memory! And my new computer will have almost-silent fans and orange and pink lighting and more than 2 USB ports and more than 2 floppy drives! And then my sister can have my old computer and we can have 2-person LAN parties every night! Wooo!!

-The weekend before last was one of the best weekends I've had this year! The Cosplay Club Picnic/Sleepover was even more epic than I had imagined. Thankyou to all those who organised it. And thankyou to whoever was trusting enough to let us borrow their Scout hall. And thankyou to my sister for putting up with me readjusting her hat every 5 minutes.

So, here are some photos (thankyou to those who uploaded them) - The Insert/Edit Link button is not working properly so you will just have to put up with copypasted URLs in the meantime.

- My sister and I discovered the brilliance of Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei last week, and it is now my Anime of the Month. Incidentally, today is the first day of Spring. Yaaay, relevance! *throws cherry blossom like confetti*

- I started reading the Twilight series last week. You know, the romance novels written by the Muse groupie/Mormon Stephenie Meyer. The one about the charming and polite vampire and his reckless/insecure/human girlfriend. The waiting list at the library was too long, so I ended up downloading PDFs. But now I'm thinking I might actually have to buy them, they are significantly better than I expected, ie. I'm up to the fourth one already.  And to be completely honest, I can kind of understand what all the swooning Edward Cullen fangirls are on about. Not that I'm planning to join them any time soon.

- Crapcrapcrap practice exams soon crap.

- I downloaded that program that changes your wallpaper every 10 minutes, it makes minimising windows more thrilling than ever. It has given me quite a fright a few times now, though. Some of my wallpapers are far more brightly coloured than I remembered them.

GOOD THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED RECENTLY:

- The formal - it was significantly better than last year. Poor Heidi was getting hassled for the entire evening by people coming up to her and being all "OMG HEIDI!!! GLITTERY DRESS AND MAKEUP!! OMGOMGOMG!!!" Admittedly, it was pretty amazing. I thorougly enjoyed the after-party, Judith and I were there until about 4am - that was when Judith realised what the time was and started talking about how much graphics work she had been planning to do the next day. A big thankyou to my sister and her friend for their incredible curling iron/hairspray efforts.

- Jen Goldie's birthday party - although I got semi-lost on the way to her house, the 45 minutes of wandering in the dark was worth it. The event consisted of Monty Python, animal biscuits and green tea cake and disturbing cuttlefish-flavour crackers, Disney soundtrack singalongs, and about 6 hours of rather competitive Twister. Good times.

BAD THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED RECENTLY:

- About a week ago I was wandering around Savemart and I came across some rather extreme shoes. They looked a lot like these. And they were $15. But being the stingy person that I am, I thought "Hmm... I really want them, but I'll consider it for a week or so before I buy them - it's not like they're the sort of shoe that many people are likely to buy, so they should still be here next Wednesday." So I considered it, and returned to Savemart today. And of course, someone had bought them. DAMN YOU MURPHY'S LAW!!

BAD THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING SOON:

- I have my Spanish conversation assessment tomorrow. Not that it's an actual conversation. Because the topic of the conversation is specified, the things that the teacher is likely to ask us are specified, the required length is specified, and we memorise what we are going to say beforehand. Also we have to attempt to incorporate as many complex grammatical structures and verb tenses as we can, especially the mysterious and complex Subjunctive tense, which takes up pretty much the entirety of the Level 3 Spanish curriculum (that's how amazing it is.)
Um, and I've kinda done the whole extreme-procrastination thing again. Like, I only really started preparations today.
This should be interesting.

GOOD THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING SOON:

- On Saturday my sister and I are attending the Chch Cosplay Club Picnic/Sleepover. The prospect of more than 24 hours in a hall full of highly contagious Weeaboo is one that intrigues me, and I am thoroughly looking forward to staying up all night having amusingly pointless debates about Princess Peach's ulterior motives while keeping an eye out for flying shuriken and wily hat-kidnappers and while trying not to lose the Game (which I just lost.)

-Rosa's birthday party. Need to find some pirate shoes...

LET'S BLITZ

- Not much of interest has happened since my last post. So I don't have much to write about at the moment.

- Oh, but I did buy Final Fantasy X last week.

- It is a little worrying that the only interesting thing that has happened in my life in the last week or two is a video game. Oh well. I'm not yet worried enough to try and do something about it.

FINAL FANTASY X RANT
(probably does not contain spoilers)
(it might contain FFVII spoilers)

- Tidus has a very irritating whiny voice. And a lame sense of humour. But I guess it kind of suits him. He certainly does make a refreshing contrast to Cloud. Comparision:
Cloud: "I have amnesia and schizophrenia. My parents are dead and my girlfriend is dead. My best friend also died but I didn't         remember that until recently. The guy who was once my idol is now an emo megalomaniac. I was unpopular when I was a kid, and even now that I have friends they're all weirdos who won't stop following me around. Did I mention I'm a genetic experiment gone wrong?"
Tidus: "I don't really understand what's going on, everyone else seems to be a lot more worried than I am. Oh well, I'm a famous sports star! Yeahh!!" *victory dance*

-Hm, wasn't I planning to play FFVIII and IX first? Oh well.

- The battle system is very nice. The lack of time constraints is unrealistic, but then again this is Final Fantasy we're talking about here.

-Speaking of unrealistic, Seymour wins the award for Most Epic Hairstyle. Wakka gets second place, but it doesn't matter cause he Did His Best.

- Woww, there's so much dialogue and cutscenes compared to everything else I have been playing recently. And not just the standard cutscenes. The Nice Graphics Pre-Recorded Video cutscenes. Thank God for DVD format. Or should I say "Praise be to Yevon"

- Best part so far: when Tidus has the weird dream and shouts "I HATE YOU!" in his sleep. My sister and I are now prone to shouting "I HATE YOU!" at each other at random moments and then bursting out laughing. Good times.

- Lol @ the fact that Wakka still sounds almost exactly like Bender despite the voice actor's attempt to sound more Hawaiian. Someday when I am an amazingly talented programmer I am going to make another copy of the game with all of Wakka's dialogue replaced with semi-relevant Bender quotes, and see how long it is before my sister notices.

- In conclusion, I can't be bothered writing anymore cause I wanna go play some more. *walks off*

Term 3 = Never too enjoyable

  • Jul. 22nd, 2008 at 10:17 PM
- I have decided that a good reason for me not posting anything on my blog for such a long time is that I don't do such things during the holidays. That excuse should do for now.

- Being back at school is depressing, even though I'm not as behind in Design as some people in my class are. Media Studies Documentary is going very badly. The people who I had planned to interview during the holidays decided that they were "too busy." I'm wondering whether an assessment that takes 2 terms and is only worth 4 credits is really worth it.

- Holidays were enjoyable despite lack of school-related progress. I started making an Ancient-Greece-inspired dress, and Judith and I went shoe shopping and took every available opportunity to say "These shoes SUCK!" and "Those shoes are MINE, BETCH!" Which reminds me, I wanna make a Kelly costume at some point. She is SO cool.

- Holy crap. I finished Final Fantasy VII last Wednesday. Barely. I finished with the entire party on 1 HP. My sister and I loved the way in which the airship turned out to have convenient collapsible emergency wings for when it starts falling out of the sky. Apparently FFVII is overrated, but I certainly found it to be the most enjoyable of the first 7. I guess I'll start on FFVIII next...

- It has now been 3 months since the Armageddon Expo and my sister and I are yet to receive our PS2. I've sent quite a few mildly impatient emails now, but today my dad told me that he'd sent what I assume was something more threatening. He also said that the Armageddon Expo website (which he had been visiting to find contact details) gave his work computer some horrible Trojan which took the IT staff like an hour to get rid of. So now I'm a little worried, I've been to that site within the last few days but AVG is yet to find anything. So I guess the possible scenarios are : a) the virus my dad got was not a result of visiting the website (even though he double-checked) b) I need some better antivirus software in order to find it c) My computer hasn't been infected at all. I'm pretty sure my computer's fine at the moment anyway... *backs up frantically*

-The most recent Futurama movie was good, better than the first one in my opinion. It was full of Delicious Cake. And tentacles. Eww.

- Something else that made me lol multiple times: http://www.yukihime.com/comics/paremix/
